The Electric Island of Saltillo will be equipped with state-of-the-art charging systems, with a 240 kW Detroit eFill All-in-one charger powered by 100% renewable energy, giving the possibility to charge in up to 2.5hrs our longest range electric model.
This center will offer customers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with charging technologies for heavy electric vehicles, guaranteeing efficiency, safety and adaptability to the needs of the Mexican market.
The inauguration of this freight infrastructure is part of Daimler Truck Mexico's efforts to achieve emission-free mobility by 2050. This charging center is a key component of the ecosystem that the company is developing to offer complete solutions to its customers, allowing them to adopt clean technologies efficiently.
The chargers installed at Electric Island are compatible with the American CCS1 standard, approved for the Mexican market, which guarantees their interoperability with heavy electric vehicles. In addition, the center will function as a collaborative space for the development of new technologies and solutions to accelerate the transition to 100% electric mobility in the commercial transportation sector.
