Grupo FRISA to build a new industrial development center in Tijuana

Grupo FRISA will invest US$274 million to consolidate its industrial land supply in the metropolitan area of Tijuana, Baja California.

According to Nicolás Azcárraga, deputy director of Industrial and Housing of Grupo FRISA, this amount will be used for the construction of two projects.

One of them is Santa Fe Business Park, an industrial park designed to house all types of light industry and logistics, which will be developed in two phases.

The first will have 70 thousand square meters (m2 ) of gross rentable area and the second will have 50 thousand m2.

In the same sense, Grupo FRISA continues building the Banderas Tech Park industrial park, with 11 thousand m2 of gross rentable area, located 30 km from the Otay International Gateway and the Tijuana International Airport.

He also explained that the average lease price that the firm will offer in these new industrial projects is eight dollars per m2.

During a tour, Nicolás Azcárraga announced that the two projects will have a wide range of shopping centers, services and social and medium-interest housing, with the objective of providing better living conditions and mobility to the workforce and families that will be established in the development poles.

In this context, he added that the Burdeos development is being carried out in partnership with RUBA, a construction company that in the last two decades has issued long-term certificates on the Mexican Stock Exchange for more than US$94.5 million.

Finally, he indicated that in both cases, the design of the industrial parks responds to energy efficiency and sustainability conditions, as they are intended to obtain LEED and EDGE certifications.
