GT Global opens new terminal in Altamira
ALTAMIRA, TAMPS - GT GLOBAL informed that it has decided to invest in the southern area of Tamaulipas with the construction and start of operations of a new GT+logistics intermodal terminal, with an investment of US$6.9 million.
Located specifically in Altamira, the terminal has a 10,000 square meter (m2) warehouse planned for the handling and storage of goods, where 50 direct jobs and 100 indirect jobs were created.
In addition, the terminal has railroad spurs with a capacity to store up to 60 rail cars.
"GT+logistics' new intermodal terminal offers the services of efficient loading and unloading of goods, providing fast and safe services; transloading and cross-docking, storage of goods both indoors and outdoors, rail car shelter, rail car cleaning and conditioning, as well as repairs, to ensure the quality and safety of the assets," the company said through its social networks.
With the start-up of this new intermodal terminal, GT+logistics now has an infrastructure of 15 terminals with an installed capacity of 80,000 m2, with presence in Altamira, Monterrey, Veracruz, Manzanillo, Mexico City and the State of Mexico.
