Shimtech to manufacture components for Boeing in Sonora

Shimtech Industries Limited, the English manufacturer of airplane components, announced the opening of a new plant in Hermosillo, Sonora, to make components for the Boeing 787 production, with investment valued at US$15 million.

Howard Kimberley, President of the Firm, explained that the objective of this plant is to complement the work at their plants in San Diego California and Port Angeles in Washington, to supply for Boeing in the region.

Jorge Vidal Ahumada, Secretary of Economy, informed that Shimtech will establish in Hermosillo one of the specialty ovens required to manufacture the doors that are part of the Boeing.
