The Taiwanese company Inventec announced a new phase of expansion for its operations in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, with an investment of US$450 million and the creation of more than 6,000 new jobs, strengthening its presence in the electronics and technology sector in the border region.

Inventec is a global manufacturer of high-performance servers for artificial intelligence and plays a key role in international semiconductor supply chains. Since 1975, the company has developed manufacturing capabilities for technology firms and has established itself as an engineering and production partner for advanced solutions.

The project involves expanding its production capacity through the acquisition of a 36,000-square-meter building within an industrial park, as well as the construction of an additional 43,000 square meters on its Megasite campus.

During the announcement, Governor Maru Campos emphasized that the investment demonstrates confidence in the state’s economic and productive conditions. She also noted that Chihuahua has been a national leader in the electronics industry for more than 15 years and has held prominent positions in exports to the United States, establishing itself as one of the country’s main industrial drivers.

With this expansion, Inventec will strengthen its infrastructure in Ciudad Juarez and help maintain Chihuahua’s status as a strategic hub for advanced manufacturing, technology, and exports to North America.
