NetShape Solutions Opens Plant in Querétaro

NetShape Solutions Group opened a new manufacturing plant in Querétaro designed to strengthen its design and production operations for automotive components in Mexico.

The Grand Haven, Michigan-based company chose the Finsa Industrial Park as the site for the facility, in which it has invested nearly $13 million and which will create 260 direct jobs once the project is fully operational.

NetShape began offering its services in Mexico in 2004 but did not establish its first manufacturing operations until 2010.

The company specializes in the design and manufacture of both structural metal parts and plastic and composite components, particularly polymers designed to improve vehicle safety and reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

The automotive supplier employs a wide range of processes, ranging from metal stamping and high-strength steel rolling to plastic injection molding and pultrusion.

However, company executives declined to provide details on the specific operations the new facility will house or the identity of the customers it will serve from that location.
