Plastic industry laboratories network to be launched in Queretaro
QUERETARO - The Queretaro Plastics Cluster is working on the creation of a network of laboratories to support companies in this industry.
The objective is to combine the capabilities of the production centers, as well as those of laboratories that are already established in the state, but which are underutilized, explained the cluster's president, Arturo Nava Guerrero.
Arturo Nava Guerrero, president of the cluster, explained that the objective is to combine the capabilities of the production centers, as well as those of laboratories that are already established in the state, but which are underutilized.
"All new part numbers, items or projects need to go through an approval process and that process has to do with laboratory testing, so what we are doing is adding capabilities, in other words, a company A has certain laboratory equipment, a company B has certain laboratory equipment and so on," he stated.
This initiative, he added, will be one of those supported by the German National Metrology Institute (PTB) on the continent; it will also involve the Mexican National Metrology Center (Cenam).
The goal is to add 25 organizations to the network, for which companies, academic institutions, research centers and laboratories will be called.
This strategy aims to create a base that will provide, at a domestic level, the laboratory services required by companies.
