QUERETARO - Poly Bajío, a Mexican company dedicated to the manufacture of flexible polyethylene packaging, announced an investment of US$6.7 million to expand its facilities in San Juan del Río, Querétaro.
This amount includes US$4.1 million for the purchase of new machinery and US$2.5 million for the installation of solar panels, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability.
The expansion will also allow the creation of 150 new jobs, which will be aligned to the production of packaging through processes focused on the circular economy.
During a visit to Poly Bajío's facilities, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the Ministry of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), highlighted the importance of this project for the region.
“Creating 150 jobs for Queretaro residents in a company committed to the recycling of industrial waste and the production of high quality packaging is a significant boost for the economic and sustainable development of Queretaro,” he said.
Poly Bajío, known for its high and low density polyethylene packaging, incorporates PIR (Post-Industrial Recycled) recycling technology that allows it to convert industrial waste into new products, reinforcing its environmental and social responsibility focus.
