Redwood Logistics opens regional office in Tamaulipas to supply cross-border solutions

Chicago-based Redwood Logistics recently announced the launch of Redwood Mexico, a venture that promises to simplify the process of shipping to and from Mexico.

The third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializes in providing customers with brokerage solutions, asset solutions in certain markets, warehousing and distribution capabilities, and US-Mexican brokerage services.

The new branch is said to be specialized in cross-border supply chain solutions, and it will also draw on Redwood’s existing long-term relations, industry experience and robust technology.

Troy Ryley has been appointed as President of Redwood Mexico, along with Mike Finn as Senior Vice President of Sales and Jordan Dewart as Managing Director.

“We are excited to expand our business further into the cross-border logistics space through the launch of Redwood Mexico,” said Mark Yeager, CEO of Redwood Logistics. “Though we have operated on this market for years, adding dedicated resources and market expertise will drive even greater value to our customers. This is another step towards our goal of becoming the gold standard of full service third-party logistics provider.”

The company already has presence in the U.S.-Mexico border, in cities like El Paso and McAllen, Texas. It is also a leading truck broker in the U.S., and its presence in Mexico will serve as an opportunity to expand. Redwood Mexico will be based in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

“We have a very strong presence in El Paso and have had a presence in McAllen. Laredo is just a much bigger market. We feel strongly that with our current staffing and the infrastructure we’re going to put in place, that we’ll be a major player in the Laredo market based on current systems and infrastructure,” Ryley said of Redwood Mexico.
