Tesla could start construction of gigafactory during first quarter of the year

NUEVO LEON - The governor of Nuevo Leon, Samuel Garcia Sepulveda, estimated that Tesla's gigafactory in Santa Catarina could start construction in the first quarter of this year.

This, considering the start of some preliminary works requested by the company, which are advancing, which will not be affected by the electoral context.

"Tesla is not guided by electoral issues, they are all over the world and always in a hurry. I believe that this January the accesses, avenues and ramps will be noticeable, which is the state's responsibility", said the governor.

Regarding the development of the gigafactory, García Sepúlveda indicated that as soon as these works are finished, they call it a production line, construction will begin.

"We are waiting for that and I hope it will be as soon as possible. The state started in December, and it will be noticed this January; internally, within the land, the factory should start (its construction) this quarter," he added.

These advances represent an important step towards Tesla's presence in the region and its contribution to the economic development of Nuevo León.
