Taxan expands in San Luis Potosí
SAN LUIS POTOSI - The Japanese Tier 2 supplier, Taxan (part of KAGA Electronics) inaugurated the expansion of its plant in the Millennium Industrial Park in San Luis Potosi, in which a total of US$40.6 million was invested.
The company's customers at this location will include Nissan, Ford, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, among others located in the Bajío region and seeking to exploit the North American market.
With the expanded capacity, Taxan will be able to produce 500,000 electronic cards for the automotive sector per month, through 11 assembly lines distributed in an area of 26,750 m2. The company has a total land area of 80,000 square meters in the Millennium industrial park.
The company is committed to its workers and the environment, which is why it will join the major companies in attracting local talent by providing childcare services within the plant, inclusive jobs and an ecological vision. The expansion is expected to employ 1,500 people.
The expansion was inaugurated by the Governor of the state, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, accompanied by company executives.
