Volkswagen reaches 14 million vehicles produced in Puebla
PUEBLA - The Volkswagen plant in Puebla, located in the municipality of Cuautlancingo, has reached an unprecedented achievement by recording the production of 14 million vehicles.
This milestone has been reached with the production of the Taos SUV, a model that has proven to be emblematic since its launch in October 2020.
Since its inception, the plant has been a fundamental pillar in Volkswagen's brand strategy, standing out in the competitive automotive segment. With more than 60 years of history, Volkswagen Puebla is further consolidating its position as a world-class manufacturing center.
The president and CEO of Volkswagen de México, Holger Nestler, has expressed his gratitude to the employees for their talent and dedication, highlighting the crucial role they play in positioning the plant as a benchmark in the global automotive industry.
'Our commitment is to maintain excellence in all operations, ensuring the satisfaction of our customers,' said Nestler, underlining the importance of maintaining high quality standards in every vehicle manufactured.
The Volkswagen Taos has been the protagonist of this record, with a significant increase in production in the first three months of 2024, reaching an increase of 67.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
This SUV, recognized for its design, efficiency and safety, has consolidated the relevance of the Volkswagen plant in Puebla in the brand's global strategy.
Since its launch, more than 200,000 units of the Volkswagen Taos have rolled off the production line in Segment Three at the Volkswagen plant in Puebla, highlighting its contribution to the plant's continued success.
