INFAC invests US$6 million for expansion in Coahuila

COAHUILA - INFAC, a South Korean company, invests US$6 million for its expansion in Monclova, Coahuila. The company, currently dedicated to the production of harnesses, will use its new industrial building to produce battery parts for electric vehicles in 2025.

The expansion begins in June of this year and is expected to be completed in April 2025, to start operations in the last quarter of 2025. The facility will be built on a land reserve behind the existing plant in Monclova, located north of the city on the old Hermanas road.

Jorge Garza de la Fuente, Director of Economic Development of the City Council, commented that the expansion and production of components for electric batteries will allow the arrival of supplier companies for INFAC, since the company will need materials. He also stated that the production of parts for electric batteries will generate 250 new highly qualified jobs for young people.

“This diversification we are talking about is a great advantage for Monclova. With the expansion, more jobs will be created for young people seeking employment and alternatives will be offered in other areas of the industry for other jobs,” added Garza de la Fuente.
