PMP Grupo expands operations in Nuevo León

With an investment of US$4 million, PMP Grupo acquired a 1.7 hectare site in the municipality of Pesquería, Nuevo León, where it will expand its operations focused on the supply of parts for the automotive industry.

The property, located in the industrial corridor that connects Ternium and Kia, will include warehouses, cranes and machinery storage space.

According to Porfirio González Mier, CEO of the company, in an interview with El Financiero, the new space will also serve as a showroom for heavy machinery from India, thanks to a distribution agreement with ACE Cranes. This alliance will allow PMP to market forklifts and backhoe loaders in Nuevo León, Coahuila, Sonora and Chihuahua.

In addition to the distribution of machinery, PMP Grupo seeks to attract service partners to contribute to the growth of large customers in the area, such as Kia and Ternium. The idea is for the site to function both as a logistics center and as a specialized sales point for ACE Cranes, where potential buyers will be able to learn directly about the capabilities of the equipment.

PMP Grupo operates in different business divisions, including overhead cranes under the Strong Kranes brand, Chicago Blower industrial fans and services for heavy machinery. Its main clients include companies such as Ternium, Tyasa, Caterpillar, Hyundai, Metalsa, Deacero and Prolamsa.

According to González Mier, the years 2023 and 2024 represented record figures for the company in both sales and parts manufacturing. Currently, more than 400 of the company's cranes are active in the market, and about 40 new ones are added each year. In industrial fans, the annual average is between 80 and 100 units, while technical services exceed 5,000 hours per month.
