Puerto del Norte in Matamoros is progressing favorably

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya met with representatives from Hyundai Glovis Mexico and construction company Mota-Engil to review logistics, security, and planning aspects related to the start of operations at the Port of the North, located in the municipality of Matamoros.
Gustavo Guzmán Fernández, general director of the Tamaulipas Port Authority, also participated in the working session, held within the framework of the Peace Building Coordination Table.
The purpose of the meeting was to follow up on the development of the project, considered strategic for strengthening the state's maritime connection with the North American market.
David Plata, head of Finished Vehicle Logistics at Hyundai Glovis Mexico, expressed the company's willingness to collaborate in the next stages of the port. For his part, Javier García Bejos, director of Special Projects for Latin America at Mota-Engil, pointed out that the new terminal could reduce transport times and costs for exporters by up to 30% by operating under safer and more efficient conditions.
Also present at the meeting were Cristian Betancourt, a Glovis Mexico operator, and Juan Carlos Ocejo Pérez, Mota-Engil's chief operating officer.
