Steelform builds US$60 million plant in Pesquería, NL

Swiss and US-owned automotive supplier Steelform has begun construction of a plant in Pesquería, Nuevo León, in which it will invest US$60 million, according to state authorities.
The facility will focus on manufacturing speaker frames, mufflers, bumpers, advanced high-strength steel (AHSS), and dual-phase steel for automotive seat and chassis components.
The project will generate more than 100 permanent direct jobs.
The company was formed from the merger of Steel Warehouse (founded in 1948) and Forming AG (established in 1964) and has operations in Switzerland and the United States.
