Solfium announces US$10 million investment in Querétaro

Solfium announced a US$10 million investment in a solar energy plant in the state, according to information from the state government.
This project is expected to create 150 direct jobs and 600 indirect jobs. The solar energy company is originally from Canada, and both Canadian and local capital is being injected into this project, according to the state administration.
Solfium co-founder and CEO Andrés Friedman highlighted that the investment announcement is a milestone in promoting one of the cleanest energy sources.
Through a technology platform, he said, the company integrates installers, suppliers, financiers, and logistics partners to provide a solution tailored to each customer.
The firm's co-founder and CCO, Juan Osuna, highlighted the conditions they found for growth in the central state.
“From Querétaro, you can lead transformations with a global impact, throughout Mexico and internationally,” he said.
During the investment announcement, Governor Mauricio Kuri González stated that the goal is to position Querétaro as a leader in Mexico's energy transition. He affirmed that the administration is committed to promoting energy supply and caring for and conserving the environment.
