Safran Announces Expansion in Querétaro

French aerospace company Safran will expand its operations in the state of Querétaro, through an investment of approximately US$111.7 million.
The project includes the expansion of three existing facilities: Safran Aero Composites, Safran Landing Systems Services Americas, and Safran Aircraft Engine Services Americas. This move will consolidate the entire aircraft engine assembly chain in Querétaro, strengthening Safran’s position within Mexico’s growing aerospace industry.
The expansion will create 238 new direct jobs, adding to the nearly 4,000 employees Safran already has in Querétaro and more than 16,000 across Mexico.
Additionally, the investment will boost production capacity—particularly for long-range landing gear—and will include the installation of two engine test benches designed to certify engines under real-flight conditions.
Through this expansion, Safran reaffirms its commitment to Mexico as a strategic hub for the global aerospace sector.
