COMCE Noreste seeks to improve border crossings

The operation of the international bridges in Laredo, which handle more than 20,000 crossings daily, has become a critical factor for the competitiveness of trade between Mexico and the United States. In response, COMCE Noreste initiated a dialogue with border authorities to improve logistical efficiency.
The four international bridges, two of which are for commercial use, handle more than 20,000 daily crossings, positioning the border as one of the main logistics hubs between Mexico and the United States.
During the meeting, the organization’s objectives were presented, and discussions focused on the main challenges this office faces in its daily operations, particularly given the high volume of goods and traffic that characterizes the region. Authorities and the private sector agreed to strengthen institutional coordination to reduce crossing times and improve the efficiency of the flow of goods.
The meeting allowed for the identification of areas of opportunity and progress on solutions aimed at optimizing infrastructure and processes at the border. COMCE Northeast expressed its gratitude for the opportunity for dialogue and collaboration, reiterating its commitment to promoting initiatives that strengthen border dynamics.
