In its first week of service: the AIFA train

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) reported that the “Felipe Angeles” train carried 206,515 passengers during its first week of operation.
This mode of transportation has established itself as a key project for connectivity between Mexico City and Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA).
Six new stations were built on the Lecheria-AIFA line: Cueyamil, La Loma, Teyahualco, Prados Sur, Cajiga, and Xaltocan; as well as the Clara Krause terminal at AIFA, all of which are 100% accessible and feature tactile paving.
The line operates with 10 trains, each 328 feet long, serving 719 passengers per train: it is universally accessible, and the space is designed to accommodate luggage; it also has a maximum capacity to transport 80,000 passengers daily.
The SICT added that the train operates using the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS), which ensures passenger safety.
