Government reaches 89% of its target supporting producers

The “Fertilizantes para el Bienestar” program reached 89% of its national goal for 2026 during the first half of the year, benefiting more than 1,920,000 small- and medium-scale producers.
The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SEDAR) reported that as of the first week of July, the program had distributed nearly 970,000 metric tons of inputs—equivalent to 92% of the supply—to the Distribution Centers (CEDA), where more than 900,000 metric tons were delivered directly to farmers, representing 86% of the just over one million metric tons projected for the current year.
The federal agency highlighted that Coahuila is the first state to reach the goal of serving 100% of the small- and medium-scale farmers registered in the program’s database.
It is followed by the states of Morelos, with more than 98%, and Baja California Sur, Baja California, and Nuevo Leon, with more than 97% of the free distribution progress achieved without intermediaries.
This is due to the deployment of 1,033 CEDA centers and the technical and administrative support provided by staff at AGRICULTURA’s Regional Offices, the Rural Development Support Centers (CADER), and the Rural Development Districts (DDR) across the 32 states of the Republic.
