Ford Mustang GTD comes to Mexico

During an event held at Ford Gimsa Toluca-Metepec, the company unveiled a new model: the Mustang GTD, the first vehicle developed in Mexico, which is considered the most radical and technologically advanced model the brand has ever manufactured for on-road use.

Its design features a body made primarily of carbon fiber, active aerodynamic elements, and a mechanical configuration designed to deliver performance comparable to that of a race car.

The sports car is powered by a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission mounted on the rear axle. It also features semi-active suspension, a dry-sump lubrication system, and technologies aimed at maximizing stability and performance both on the track and on the road.

With the arrival of the Mustang GTD in Mexico, the company is solidifying its legacy as one of the industry’s most iconic brands, offering enthusiasts a vehicle that pushes the capabilities of a production Mustang to the limit.
