Nuevo Leon tops investment announcements with US$5.5 billion

During the first half of the year, Nuevo Leon ranked first nationwide in publicly announced investment, totaling US$5.5 billion.

According to a report from the Ministry of Economy, the state ranked highest among the country’s 32 states.

With this figure, Nuevo Leon accounted for 12% of the total announced investment in Mexico as of the end of June 2026, surpassing Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Hidalgo, and the State of Mexico.

The investment announcements made in the state also include the creation of 6,120 new jobs, strengthening the state’s economic dynamism and its ability to continue attracting high-value-added projects in strategic sectors such as advanced manufacturing, electromobility, technology, logistics, energy, and innovation.

These results demonstrate the coordinated efforts between the state government, the business sector, universities, and specialized agencies to consolidate a competitive environment with infrastructure, talent, and favorable conditions for investment.

According to the Ministry of Economy, investments totaling US$47 billion were announced nationwide during the first half of 2026, with Nuevo León accounting for the largest share of these projected investments.
