TYW Manufacturing invest US$29 million in Guanajuato

The Chinese company TYW Manufacturing has launched the second phase of its project in Mexico, based in Irapuato, Guanajuato, with an additional investment of US$29 million, thereby strengthening its presence in electronics manufacturing for the automotive industry.

The launch of this project was led by Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion, who attended on behalf of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, according to the statement from the Guanajuato Department of Economy.

The company is located in the Guanajuato Industrial Park in Irapuato and serves as a supplier to the automotive industry, providing high-precision technology for next-generation vehicles. Among its products are electronic control modules and PCBA boards, which are destined for international markets.

According to the State Secretary of Economy, this new phase of TYW Manufacturing Mexico aims to create up to 1,000 jobs in Guanajuato.

This new investment is part of the project launched by TYW Manufacturing in June of last year, when the company opened its new plant in the Guanajuato Industrial Park with an initial investment of US$50 million, with plans to create 1,000 direct jobs.

TYW's expansion adds to the growth of Asian companies in Guanajuato. This new phase for TYW Manufacturing Mexico confirms Irapuato's role as a strategic hub for attracting advanced manufacturing, primarily for sectors linked to the automotive, electronics, and export industries.

With this second phase of expansion undertaken by the company, it is not only expanding its presence in the state but also strengthening Guanajuato’s position as a destination for high-value automotive manufacturing geared toward international markets.
