P&G Will Expand Its Drug Production in Naucalpan

Of the total investment, US$100 million will be used for the “Agave” project, which involves the construction of a new building to increase production capacity for Sedalmerck and Dolo-Neurobion medications, as well as the installation of a laboratory to conduct analytical tests on the products. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The plants will incorporate automation processes, thereby creating new jobs in addition to the approximately 900 jobs the company currently provides in Naucalpan.

Miguel Valdovinos, director of the Naucalpan Plant, has noted that the new investments will boost the facility's competitiveness and production capacity and expand its reach into various international markets.

The Naucalpa plant is P&G's largest in Latin America in the health care sector and has been in operation for more than 60 years. Tirso Teixeira, CEO of P&G, emphasized that the talent and competitive conditions in the State of Mexico have helped the company maintain and expand its operations there.

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is a global consumer goods company operating in the health care, beauty, personal care, baby and family care, and home care categories. Meanwhile, Mexico has been one of its 10 most important markets worldwide, with operations that include six production plants and more than 7,500 employees.

According to the company, approximately 45% of its Mexican production is exported to more than 40 countries, making it a key hub in its global manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain network.
