Grupo Andrade Celebrates 100 Years in Mexico

Grupo Andrade is celebrating its centennial. Founded in 1926 as a Ford dealership, the company has grown to become one of Mexico’s leading players in the mobility sector. Surviving a century in a rapidly evolving market like the automotive industry requires leadership, vision, and the ability to reinvent oneself.

Over time, Grupo Andrade has evolved and grown in step with the country's changing needs. Today, the organization has more than 70 dealerships, 2,000 showrooms, represents more than 35 brands, and sells more than 45,000 vehicles a year. This operation involves a workforce of more than 6,000 employees and offers services that go beyond traditional car sales.

At the helm of the Board of Directors is Angel Mieres Zimmermann, for whom the challenge of a 100-year-old company lies not only in building on past achievements but also in remaining relevant in the face of what lies ahead. The industry is now facing new changes and transformations marked by electric mobility, digitalization, new rental models, and smart fleet management.

That is one of the keys to Grupo Andrade’s longevity—the understanding that leadership does not mean remaining static. The company has changed just as the country has, but it continues to expand its operations as the mobility needs of individuals and businesses evolve.

The centennial of this great group represents more than just the continuity of a family business. Its 100-year history of decisions, adaptation, and business leadership has enabled it to navigate through several generations, economic transformations, and technological revolutions without losing its relevance.
