Sanofi Pasteur plans to build a US$ 157 million vaccine plant in State of Mexico

Sanofi Pasteur, the largest company in the world devoted entirely to vaccines, announced plans to invest US$ 157.5 million to build a production facility in the municipality of Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico State.
The plant will require a staff of 170 employees in order to start operations.
Currently, the France-based company supplies approximately 30 million doses of seasonal Influenza vaccine to the public health system in Mexico every year, and has the capacity to supply up to 90 million doses in the event of a pandemic.
