DHL Supply Chain Opens New Facility in EDOMEX
DHL Supply Chain Mexico has inaugurated Warehouse 3 at its TMEX Mega Campus in Nextlalpan, State of Mexico, adding 58,000 m² of warehouse space and bringing the complex’s total operational area to 160,000 m². The expansion responds to increased activity among existing customers and the addition of new clients requiring warehousing, distribution, and value-added services.
Approximately one year after the campus opened in August 2025, the complex will comprise three warehouses and expand its service offering to include multi-client operations. The new facility will have a maximum capacity of approximately 75,000 pallet positions and will handle textiles, groceries, and automotive parts. Specialized storage for hazardous materials (HAZMAT), particularly for the automotive sector, will also be among its services.
The addition of the third warehouse is expected to create approximately 600 jobs. The campus currently employs 1,250 people, with its workforce projected to reach 1,850 by November 2026 as operations at the new facility ramp up.
Warehouse 3 will incorporate robots and automated systems for storage, picking, order fulfillment, and packaging. It will also use artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics to process operational information, identify inventory patterns, and support warehouse planning. By analyzing data generated through daily operations, these technologies will help optimize inventory management, streamline workflows, and adapt to changes in order volumes and customer requirements.
The new facility will feature solar panels with a capacity of 500 kVA, water-saving fixtures in restrooms, and electric vehicle charging stations. The project has received EDGE certification, which focuses on resource efficiency in areas including energy, water, and building materials.
