FedEx Express will expand its presence in Mexican territory, a decision motivated by the growing logistics activity dedicated to e-commerce.
The American company plans to increase its stores in the country, in this sense, they´re looking into adding 1,200 new stores to its current network of 1,300 stores.
"We will expand throughout national territory through alliances with third parties. We are just putting the strategy together. The idea is to double the presence we have in shipping centers,” said Jorge Torres, President of FedEx Express Mexico.
Torres assured that the alliance with "third parties" is necessary in order to absorb the work volume that will come through their e-commerce outlet, an activity that grows 50% annually in Mexico.
