MEXICO CITY – Entrepreneurs will invest more than US $ 200 million to reactivate the industrial zone of Vallejo in Mexico City, said the president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), Francisco Cervantes DĂaz.
The official announcement could be made during the next two months and it will be the result of a joint effort with local authorities to turn the capital into a more attractive place, nationally and internationally, he argued.
Cervantes DĂaz, explained that Vallejo industrial zone has been visited repeatedly by investors aiming to carry out different projects, which would create a greater number of jobs. It is a good bet, he said, because "the deindustrialization not only affected Vallejo, but also the state of Mexico in the Naucalpan and Tlalnepantla zones."
The head of the capital’s government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, recalled that her administration shares said vision. "We do not want the city to be deindustrialized, we want it to remain an industrial city and make it grow, but through a clean and innovative industry."
