Deimos Grupo Elecnor to invest US$130 million in Yucatan

YUCATAN — Deimos Grupo Elecnor will built a technological center in Yucatan which will be dedicated to satellite and space matters; the Spanish company will invest US$130 million and 200 engineers will work directly at said center while 600 indirect job positions will be generated during the center’s construction first stage. Yucatan will be the first state in Mexico where communication and research satellites will be built, which represents the consolidation of the entity in the aerospace industry. The governor of Yucatan, Mauricio Vila Dosal, met with Miguel Bello Mora, CEO of Elecnor Deimos Space, at the satellite factory located in Puertollano, near Madrid, where the mission control and monitoring center is located, which has the monitoring and reception antennas of all the images sent by satellites.   Elecnor Deimos specializes in the design and development of engineering solutions and integration systems for different sectors such as the maritime, aeronautic and transport among others.
