MEXICO — The National Air Transport Chamber (Canaero) seeks to establish different aid fronts for the promotion of aviation during and after the health contingency caused by the COVID-19 virus. Given this, the agency began negotiations with airport groups, as well as with government entities to establish an action plan.
On the one hand, Canaero seeks to negotiate with airports the possibility of making long-term charges for certain tariffs that are not currently used, such as charges for operations.
A line of work was also opened with Sectur to propose a strategy that would allow recovering global confidence to visit Mexico once the contingency ends.
In addition, the chamber looks for collaboration from the SHCP for the administration of the Airport Use Fee (TUA) as a line of support for airlines.
