Walmart supports goods and service suppliers in Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic

MEXICO — Walmart announced that it will shorten the payment terms for micro and small companies that are providers of goods and services for the supermarket chain, in addition to forgiving two months of rent to tenants of premises in their units, as support measures by the health contingency.
The company indicated that it has approximately 30,000 suppliers of goods and services in Mexico, and a high proportion of them are micro and small companies that during this pandemic, face situations that hinder their operations.
“Now, we support our business partners who are micro and small companies. We will continue with this type of actions convinced that, in these situations, it is essential that we all contribute to help those who need it most, "said Guilherme Loureiro, CEO of Walmart México and Central America.
