MEXICO — Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard reported that Aeroméxico's seventh flight departed from Shanghai, China to Mexico with more medical supplies to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press conference, the minister of Foreign Relations (SRE) assured that the medical equipment will distributed among the hospitals destined for the care of patients seriously affected by the coronavirus throughout the Mexican Republic. This flight is loaded with 57,600 protective masks and 100,000 protective glasses. "Today we receive more protective masks and goggles for doctors," said the chancellor.
Said inputs are part of a US$56 million investment that the Mexican government allocated for the acquisition of sanitary equipment from the Chinese government.
Ebrad Casaubon explained that more flights are contemplated within the air bridge established with China since our country currently depends on the speed of production of equipment by companies in the Asian giant.
