AGP Glass invests US$800 million in Nuevo Leon

NUEVO LEON – AGP Glass is investing US$800 million in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, to supply Tesla in the United States.

The brand, which manufactures high-tech glass, will generate nearly 700 jobs and will start operations in July 2023 within the Finsa Santa Catarina industrial park.

The AGP Glass plant is one of the largest buildings in Monterrey, covering 100,000 square meters, and it was reported that they are already hiring personnel.

The minister of Economy in the state, Ivan Rivas Rodriguez said that Nuevo Leon is becoming a hub of electromobility by strengthening the entire value chain of this industry that is on the rise globally.

Rivas Rodriguez also highlighted that they are working on an investment attraction strategy as they have all the necessary elements; human capital, proximity to the United States, infrastructure and security.
