Baja California: Leader in formal employment creation

The governor of Baja California, Marina Pilar Avila Olmeda, highlighted the state as one of the best-positioned for economic development, investment, and the creation of formal jobs, citing indicators that rank the state among those with the lowest levels of informal employment in Mexico.

These results reflect the strengthening of economic activity, confidence in investing in the state, and public policies aimed at promoting business formalization, corporate growth, and job creation with access to benefits and social security.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Baja California ranks third among the states with the lowest levels of labor informality nationwide, reflecting the state’s economic dynamism and the creation of jobs offering greater stability for families.

The state maintains a dynamic economy thanks to its strategic location, its export-oriented focus, its ability to attract investment, and its ongoing support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises—factors that contribute to the creation of formal jobs for the benefit of the population.

The INEGI official noted that the Government of Baja California will continue to promote initiatives to improve working conditions and consolidate the state’s position as a national leader in economic growth with social welfare.
