Bombardier Boosts Querétaro Aerospace Industry

Canadian aerospace manufacturer Bombardier is strengthening its presence in Querétaro through a new expansion and development program aimed at boosting advanced manufacturing capabilities and specialized aerospace production in Mexico.
The initiative includes an investment of approximately US$18 million and is expected to generate more than 240 highly specialized jobs, reinforcing Querétaro’s role as one of the country’s leading aerospace hubs. Company executives highlighted the importance of the region’s skilled workforce, industrial infrastructure, and collaboration between industry, universities, and research centers.
Bombardier’s Querétaro facility has become a strategic site within the company’s global production network. The plant manufactures key aircraft components, including fuselage structures and electrical systems used in business jets such as the Global 7500 and Challenger 3500.
Industry leaders and local authorities noted that the company’s long-term presence has helped transform Querétaro into a major aerospace cluster, attracting suppliers, engineering services, and additional foreign investment. The region now hosts more than 80 aerospace companies and continues to expand its capabilities in high-value manufacturing, innovation, and research.
The new program is expected to further strengthen Mexico’s competitiveness in the global aerospace sector while promoting technology transfer, workforce development, and supply chain growth across the country.
