El Paso could be one of the first cities to receive a vaccine against COVID-19
EL PASO – After the pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer announced on Monday a significant progress in the trial of the COVID-19 vaccine, El Paso could be one of the priority cities in the distribution of the same, due to the high number of registered infections.
"Doses are likely to be assigned to the states and territories of the United States, based on their percentage of hospitalized and infected patients," the Texas Governor's Office said in a statement.
These medical treatments are in addition to the announcement made yesterday by Pfizer that the vaccine was successful in an initial analysis, demonstrating more than 90% effectiveness in preventing COVID-19.
