Hidalgo invests in training talent & promoting technology

The government of Hidalgo, through the Hidalgo Council for Science, Technology, and Innovation (CITNOVA), has committed to investing US$1.426 million by 2026 to develop human capital and fund high-impact technology projects.
Miguel Tello Vargas, head of the Planning and Prospective Unit, emphasized that this strategy, spearheaded by Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar, aims to ensure that the knowledge generated in the state translates into better living conditions for the people of Hidalgo.
“The knowledge generated here stays here,” the official emphasized, explaining that the model does not depend on the federal government but rather on a long-term state vision.
The training program includes: 48 scholarships for short-term stays, 23 grants for postdoctoral fellowships, 23 master’s degrees of excellence abroad, and 21 national specializations.
