Humanscale to expand operations in Nogales

The US company Humanscale announced the expansion of its plant in Nogales, with an investment of close to US$30 million and the creation of more than 300 jobs, most of them specializing in advanced manufacturing.
The company, based in New York and present in Sonora since 2017, will expand its infrastructure with new facilities that incorporate high-tech processes. The new plant was inaugurated this week with Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño in attendance.
During the event, the governor noted that the investment is part of efforts to attract companies with a focus on innovation and sustainability. Humanscale, which manufactures ergonomic furniture, has implemented measures such as rainwater harvesting and solar energy systems at its facilities, seeking to reduce its environmental impact.
Since its arrival in the state, the firm has maintained a strategy based on water self-sufficiency and the use of clean energy. The expansion reinforces its presence in the region and its commitment to a sustainable manufacturing model.
The state government has indicated that it will continue to promote policies to encourage private investment, the creation of skilled jobs, and the attraction of companies in the technology and industrial sectors.
