Inventec inaugurates new plant in Juarez

JUAREZ, CHIH - The Taiwanese company Inventec Electronic inaugurated its third plant in Ciudad Juarez.

With an investment of close to US$350 million, the company officially opened a 2,500 meter industrial building, while the operation has approximately 2,000 employees, with the goal of reaching 7,000.

On a working tour of Ciudad Juarez, the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, participated as a special guest in the inauguration ceremony, where she affirmed that this new company headquarters on the border is an example of the success generated by the nearshoring phenomenon, as well as of the work culture and the aspiration to get ahead, which distinguishes the people of Juarez.

During the event, which was also attended by members of the business sector, he took advantage of his stay at the company to tour the facilities and interact with the personnel, with whom he shared his impressions on the positive impact of this project and learned about the process that takes place on the production lines.

Campos Galván pointed out that currently, around 17,000 young people from Chihuahua are preparing themselves in careers related to the electronics industry, which are supported by his administration through various actions, such as the agreement with Taiwan, so that the students can be trained.

Sergio Colín, President of Index Juárez, congratulated the company for investing in Juárez and looking beyond a mere industrial operation.
