Mabe supports Mexican health personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic

MEXICO — The appliance company, Mabe, will distribute in Mexico its equipment called Aerobox, a solution designed to protect health personnel during the intubation of coronavirus’ patients.

In a statement, the company said that this project was carried out in conjunction with Health authorities, the Technology and Projects Center in Querétaro, and manufacturing and industrial equipment in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.

“More than 30,000 Aerobox will be produced to be distributed in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, after going through a design, testing, adaptation and improvement process coordinated by the Mabe team, medical specialists and authorities,” the company said.

To speed up the design and production of the Aerobox, it was decided to use one of the vegetable drawers that are usually used in brand refrigerators as a starting point. In this way, there’s a quick access to raw materials and an installed capacity to produce and assemble the Aerobox.
