Plastic Omnium’s plant located in Silao, Guanajuato, in recent days received the Q1 distinction from Ford Motor Company for meeting the highest standards in the production of bumper systems and fascias, as well as rocker panels.

Hector Bonilla, plant manager, received the recognition on behalf of the 290 associates that work in the facility to whom he thanked for their commitment and dedication.

"Each one of us puts our best effort into our activities, we are very honored to receive the recognition of Q1 supplier from Ford Company because we understand what it means: that we have earned their trust through the results we have delivered since we started this relationship. It means that we are part of a select group of world class suppliers that are recognized for the excellence with which they address challenges in quality, delivery, teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement," he said.

In addition to supplying Ford, the Silao plant, located in the Colinas industrial park, manufactures exterior body components for General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, among others.

Plastic Omnium operates additional facilities in Queretaro, Puebla, San Luis Potosi and Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. Also, through its Auto Inergy division, the company manufactures automotive fuel tanks in Leon, Guanajuato and Puebla.

Aside from those facilities, Plastic Omnium operates three additional plants in partnership with Hella and Behr Group (now Mahle) under the brand of HBPO. Two of those are located in Puebla and another one in Toluca

HBPO currently builds two additional production sites to supply parts for assembly plants from two major automakers located in Saltillo, Coahuila and Aguascalientes, in Northern and Central Mexico respectively.
