Transnational companies in Mexico speed up the adoption of AI

Transnational corporations operating in Mexico are leading the way in the adoption of artificial intelligence in the country, while domestic companies are still in the early stages, according to a study conducted by IPADE.
In presenting the report, produced in collaboration with Empresas Globales and Accenture, Rafael Ramirez de Alba, professor and director of the Economic Environment program at IPADE, noted that Mexico has entered the race for AI technology but remains in an early stage, as while tools and pilot projects abound, few organizations have integrated this technology at scale and with sound governance.
The study shows that the technology gap reflects not only a lack of infrastructure but also challenges in leadership, corporate governance, and execution discipline.
The risks are not limited to cybersecurity or data loss; they also impact internal trust and the ability to scale projects.
True competitiveness lies not merely in possessing technology, but in integrating it with a strategic vision that allows Mexico to close the gap with multinational corporations and turn artificial intelligence into a real driver of productivity and competitive advantage for the country.
