Mercado Libre will launch an official store in Chihuahua
CIUDAD JUAREZ – With the intention of positioning the region’s products nationwide, Mercado Libre will launch an official store in Chihuahua, where small- and medium-sized companies can increase their online sales possibilities and grow their business.
Within the framework of the presentation of the “Chihuahua Digital” platform, Alehira Orozco, director of Government Relations and Public Policy at Mercado Libre México, announced that the online sales platform will soon launch an official store in the state, as part of the program “Viva México,” which seeks to promote online commerce in coordination with the country’s federative entities.
The new page will be called “Arriba Chihuahua,” where local companies will be able to promote their products, not only in Mercado Libre, but also in this official store, which will allow them to have greater visibility.
This strategy will be carried out under a coordination between the digital platform and the Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), which will also include training on how to properly carry out electronic commerce processes.
“We are happy to be allies of Chihuahua in this project in the part of e-commerce and digitization, in this store, entrepreneurs will have a double opportunity to make their products visible and increase their sales,” said Orozco.
She indicated that as part of the mechanics of this platform, small- and medium-sized companies will be able to upload their products to Mercado Libre, from where they will link all their information with the official store of Chihuahua.
The intention of the new site would be to promote local consumption, giving SMEs the opportunity to complete their digitization processes.
