Coahuila and Texas businessmen explore new cooperation opportunities

The governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, met this Monday with members of the Texas Business Leadership Council (TBLC) at the Government Palace, with the objective of strengthening economic cooperation and exploring opportunities for joint development between the state and the state of Texas.

During the meeting, the state governor presented to the businessmen some of the economic and logistical characteristics of Coahuila, such as the presence of export companies, the automotive industry and the auto parts sector, in which the state occupies outstanding positions at the national level.

Issues related to public safety, infrastructure and regional connectivity were also discussed, as well as the potential for closer relations in areas such as education, culture and tourism, taking into account the historical ties between the two territories.

The Texan delegation was made up of executives from various economic sectors, including representatives of firms such as Spurs Sports & Entertainment, SWBC, Ziwa, Flowar and Proliance Group. State government officials from the economic cabinet and representatives of the municipality of Saltillo participated.

The Texas Business Leadership Council is a network of entrepreneurs that promotes long-term policies for economic growth in Texas, and maintains links with public and private institutions in Mexico.
