BBVA Invests US$33 million in Monterrey

BBVA has strengthened its presence in northern Mexico with the opening of a new corporate headquarters in Monterrey, backed by an investment of approximately US$33 million.

Located in the iconic Torre Obispado, the facility will house more than 550 employees and serve as the hub for the bank’s Northeastern Division, which oversees operations across key states including Nuevo León, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, and Durango.

The new offices are designed to centralize teams that were previously dispersed across the city, improving collaboration and aligning the employee experience with the bank’s main headquarters in Mexico City.

Spanning nine floors, the site includes modern office spaces, open collaboration areas, and amenities such as a dining area, medical services, and multipurpose rooms, reflecting the company’s focus on workplace innovation and efficiency.

The investment underscores BBVA’s long-term commitment to Mexico and highlights Monterrey’s growing role as a strategic business hub in the country’s evolving financial and industrial landscape.
