GAP Guanajuato and Hermosillo: All set to welcome tourists

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) announced that it is ready to welcome thousands of travelers at its 12 airports across Mexico.
Between 2020 and 2024, GAP invested more than US$1.786 billion in strengthening its airport infrastructure, which has enabled the implementation of state-of-the-art technology and the expansion of operational capacity across its entire network.
“For those planning to travel during this period, this translates to faster access times, greater availability of seating, quicker security and immigration screening processes, as well as a wider range of services within the terminals.”
He also highlighted that all GAP airports have satisfaction ratings above 4.0 (equivalent to over 80%), with some—such as Aguascalientes, La Paz, Morelia, Mexicali, and Manzanillo—scoring above 4.5 (over 90%).
These satisfaction surveys—especially those recognized internationally—are conducted through the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, designed and coordinated by Airports Council International (ACI), which evaluates the passenger experience in real time while they are at the airport.
The airports in Guanajuato and Hermosillo were recognized in 2025 by ACI, through the ASQ, as the best in the 2-to-5-million-passenger category in Latin America and the Caribbean.
These initiatives are part of GAP’s five-year investment plan, which allocates US$2.9 billion between 2025 and 2029 with the goal of efficiently and safely meeting growing demand.
