Volkswagen unveils new Nave 103 in Puebla

Volkswagen de Mexico has achieved a strategic milestone in the transformation of its Puebla plant with the launch of Paint Shop N-103, a facility that raises the bar for automotive manufacturing in terms of efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.
With an approximate area of 80,000 square meters and a four-story building, Paint Shop 103 operates on a three-shift schedule and features two paint lines with an installed capacity of up to 90 vehicle bodies per hour, with a cycle time of 1.25 minutes.
Currently, the Tiguan and Jetta models are produced at this facility, with the flexibility to integrate different types of vehicles as the plant’s needs evolve.
From an environmental perspective, Plant 103 marks a historic milestone as the first Volkswagen Group facility to operate a fully electric painting process, eliminating the use of fossil fuels.
With Plant 103, Volkswagen de Mexico reaffirms that technological innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability can be integrated into a single industrial vision, consolidating an operation prepared to face the challenges of the present and the future of mobility, thereby creating sustainable value that translates into stability and well-being for thousands of families who depend on its operations.
