Aerus opens Monterrey-Aguascalientes route

With the launch of Aerus’s Monterrey-Aguascalientes route, a direct connection is now available between two of the country’s major industrial and economic hubs, improving mobility for the business sector without the need for layovers in Mexico City.

This new route is part of Nuevo Leon’s air connectivity strategy, as the state consolidates its position as a logistics and travel hub with 66 active routes, of which 38 are domestic and 28 are international.

Maricarmen Martinez, Nuevo Leon’s Secretary of Tourism, highlighted that the route strengthens competitiveness, trade, and integration between the two regions. For his part, Miguel Legorreta, Aerus’s commercial director, noted that the launch is part of the company’s expansion plans to connect economically significant hubs.

Aerus is a Mexican regional airline founded in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, which began commercial operations in April 2023. It specializes in short-haul routes and has a network of destinations connecting key locations in Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Veracruz, Tabasco, Quintana Roo, Yucatan, San Luis Potosi, and Aguascalientes.
